It's the most wonderful time of the year!!!

Yes - we realize it is August and not December, but the week after team tryouts when young dancers find out which routines they'll be in for the next year is kind of like Christmas in a dance family household.

I know more than one mom that has constantly hit refresh on their email feed this week, hoping to see the announcement come through.

And then when it finally does.... Oh man! My daughter made a Tiger Woods sort of "Yes" move when she learned she'd be in the hop-hop routine for the very first time.

And then the flurry of text messages to other dance moms... "What did you get", even though the email clearly says not to share.

It is just such a fun time of year for our team. Full of hope and excitement all around! Next up is several weeks of choreography where the girls will go in and actually learn their new dances.

I honestly think this is just as exciting of a time for the moms as it is for the girls. For all of you out there who are on a team somewhere, I hope yours is off to a great start like ours is!
